Last Friday Night

Under the strobe lights, we can let go of it all. After midnight, partying until tomorrow. Whatever happens tonight, just stay by my side. So this calls for a celebration.

Last December 10,2011, the lovely Camille Co visited Cebu in What A Girl Wants stores, in both outlets along with their other endorsers, Laueen Uy, and Cebuana blogger, Kryz Uy.

The event was a dream come true for people like me and my sister who have been fans of Camille Co for some time. I still remember stalking her Chictopia and Lookbook since she didn’t have a blog at that time. It’s still so surreal to me how I’ve met people I thought I would only see in front of my computer screen.

Laureen Uy and Kryz Uy were also the sweetest  people ever. Laureen was the first person I saw in the branch and she had on the sweetest smile ever. I remembered seeing her in My Binondo Girl as Amethyst and now I actually got to see her in the flesh! *o*

Kryz Uy was lovely. She has always been an inspiration for me since she was from Cebu, and that there weren’t many Cebuano fashion bloggers who stood out. She was really humble and she made a small chat with me and Patrice. Me and Pat were starstruck!

A lot of people came inside the store to take a picture with the three bloggers. It was jam-packed! Patrice and I felt really shy since everyone was wearing something fashionable complete with SLRs while the two of us were stuck with skinny jeans and a shirt from a school event. While standing next to these amazing people, I partially wished I brought some clothes to change to.

When taking a picture with Camille (and Kryz and Laureen), Pat and I couldn’t help but feel giddy and excited. We were literally spazzing and we had these giddy faces on, as you can see on our pictures. I also was extremely talkative (which is a bad habit of mine every time I get nervous) and so I blabbered out how much of a fan I was to both Camille and Kryz. I think I sounded creepy/stalker-ish, LOL.

This day was one of those days you never really get to forget. I’m really happy to have visited WAGW all the way from my little island. The experience was worth it.

And so I leave this picture of Camille and us for you guys to stare.

Aishiteru Fantasy Cosplay

The HRM students of the University of San Carlos held this cosplay convention inside thier university as their project. The news spread like wildfire, and soon enough, tickets were sold out.

A lot of people from my school bought tickets for the event, and so my friends and I decided to go to the university with them. It was a breath of fresh air in a way, since I was kinda forced to mingle with my batch mates.

Gaara was the first one to greet us when we arrived in the building! Turns out, he’s one of Ate Charmie’s friends and one her Advertising classmates. Later on, I learned that he’s the ex-boyfriend of one of my batchmates.

I literally spazzed when I saw the Regelus Black cosplayer because… he’s the deceased brother of my all-time favorite Harry Potter character ever! I have tons of pictures of him and with him that it’s unhealthy.

Coincidentally, there was also a Snape in the convention! When I first saw this cosplay, I thought he was Alan Rickman for a sec (because I get all fangirl and dazed in conventions). He and Regelus were actually asked to have photos together, and the two of them actually seemed as if they were in the same cosplay group! House pride!

Ikemen Alec.

One of my friends competed in the competition, which was pretty gutsy of her since it was her first time to cosplay. The judges even said that her skit was impressive for a first timer./proud mother moment

A lot of people were fascinated with this White Rabbit cosplay. I mean, look at that weapon! Aside from it being as tall as me (dwarf forever), the design on it is just breath-taking.

There was an anime collectibles stall in the convention, and they were selling all these animu hats, plushies, posters, and even Domo collectibles. They have a Facebook page where you can find here.

Almost everyone in the convention bought something from the stall. I didn’t fancy most of the merchandise though.

The event was overall a decent convention, not something big. But it was still fun, with the cosplayers and what not.

I bought a hat from the local Chinese mall for my Lolita cosplay. It’s awfully cheap (below Php50-FTW!) and I’m glad that I went there today out of boredom.
Originally was searching for those Lady Gaga-inspired mini hats but couldn’t find them. Then I saw this cutie and thought of buying it instead. Turns out, those mini-hats can be found in Your Rules Your Style pala.
Hopefully, this is Lolita enough.

Next cosplay event: September 25, 2010.
Will be cosplaying as Hatate Himekaidou from Touhou Project. So happy ‘cause she’s a boss monster~
Anyway, was supposed to cosplay Angel Beats’ Hasako (or was it Hisako?) but there was a change of plan due to the exotic hair color.
So there you go! Will give more updates soon. ^^

COSPLAY EVENT IN SM CEBU CITY NORTHWING.

We went to Church today at eight without even eating breakfast and met Chona there along with Jastine. We saw Aliza today but she was with her siblings. She said that she’d catch up later at Chona’s house cause she was going to eat breakfast at Jollibee and go back home to get her costume.

We waited for April for about how many hours before she called us saying that we should wait at her parlor. So we went to her parlor and waited for her for about an hour. Her brother arrived earlier for a haircut so that his wig could fit *U*

April arrived twenty minutes after her brother.

We went to Chona’s and waited for Aliza. While waiting for her, Patrice and Jastine curled my hair up and we listened to loads of Vocaloid songs. We wanted to go to SM already cause we were all starving while Aliza was already stuffing herself, but Aliza wanted us to go together so we had to wait for her.

When we arrived, we already went to McDo (April treated us free lunch-YEY!) and directly bought last minute requirements.

We went to the North Wing restroom to put on our make-up. To be honest, all those fakeovers turned out really helpful for swift makeup.

The first costume we saw was this guy who was cosplaying one of Kuroshitsuji’s kontrabida (the puppet one). He was so gwapo. LOL.

Everyone around us had really nice costumes! I really felt small and insecure inside. They were all so pretty and we were so plain. -cries-

We saw Marla and Lara today! They were our lowerclassmen back in CIC and we were really close in our school play days! They were playing a whole cast of Lucky Star *U*

(left to right: Lara, her friend, Marla, Patrice, Me and her friend)

I look fat in that photo/laslas

There weren’t any seats available-the whole place was full of people! My leg really hurts now but I’m really happy cause we had so much fun! *U*

Anyway, it was fun but me and April wanna do a serious cosplay and probably join the competition. -crosses finger-

Tomorrow, on August 22, 2010

catch me in SM Cebu City Northwing, 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with other cosplayers.
